The Foundation is excited to share with you the 2023 Fall Enrichment offerings! 

 

This Fall, we are offering a 7-week session filled with a wide variety of classes run by EFS faculty and outside vendors. 

 

Registration will open on the NEW MobileArq - Next app on Thursday 9/28 at noon and will close on Monday, 10/2. Spaces are limited. Registration is on a first-come, first-serve basis, and some classes sell out quickly.

 

Important reminders: 

• Classes will begin immediately after school, from 3:05 - 4:25 p.m. 

• All classes are held on the school premises. 

• Children must only be signed up for classes offered for their specific grade. 

• Send your child in with an after-school snack. 

• If your child attends after-care, they will be taken after their enrichment class to Tiny Treasures, where they can commence after-care from 4:25 p.m. 

• If children are picked up late (after 4:35 p.m.), a late charge of $10 per child is applied.

Class Dates:

Tuesdays - 7 classes: 10/10, 10/17, 10/24, 11/14, 11/28, 12/5, 12/12 (12/19 makeup)

Wednesdays - 7 classes: 10/11, 10/18, 11/1, 11/15, 11/29, 12/6, 12/13 (12/20 makeup)

Thursdays - 7 classes: 10/12, 10/19, 11/2, 11/16, 11/30, 12/7, 12/14 (12/21 makeup)

 

Makeup Policy: 

We are building in one week at the end of each session for any makeup due to teacher illness or weather issues. 

 

TUESDAY

American Girls Get Crafty – Rivera (K-3): Calling all girls and their dolls to get crafty with Mrs. Rivera. Each week students will take an adventure with an American Girl where they will learn a little, craft a little, and sometimes dance a little.

Modernly Mannered – Modernly Mannered (1-3): Fundamentals for life! A modernly inspired manners class. Topics include: first impressions, eye contact, smile, posture, magical words, handshakes, introductions, thank you notes, table manners, and more. A minimum of 8 students is required.

​

Programming With Drones – Pannullo (3-6): It's a bird! It's a plane! Wait, it's a drone! Students will work in groups to learn the basics of drone use, flying techniques, photography skills and programming.

WEDNESDAY

Dance Mania – Rivera (1-3): Let’s dance! Learn a choreographed dance over 7 weeks and present a mini recital to friends and family.

​

Chess Challenge – Wallace (3-6): Checkmate! Learn the basics of chess and have fun playing timed matches each week. This class will also cover the importance of proper chess etiquette and sportsmanship. 

​

Amazing Athletes – Amazing Athletes (K-6*): A game-based sports program designed to engage kids in active wellness through sports-specific training, physical fitness challenges and interactive lessons. Each week, students focus on 1 of 12 sports, learning skills & practicing with game play in a non-competitive environment. *There will be two coaches and children will be divided into age-appropriate groups after registration.      A minimum of 5 students is required.

Video Editing – Pannullo (3-6): Ever wonder what goes into creating your favorite streams, YouTube videos and podcasts? Mr. Pannullo will teach you how to create and edit content by using iMovie.

THURSDAY

Coding Jr. – Pannullo (K-2): Coding is the new literacy! Our youngsters will learn computer programming and block coding using fun games, iPads, computers, dash dots and more.

​

Soccer Stars – Soccer Stars (K-2): GOALLLLL! This class will help children improve their soccer skills while developing self-confidence, improving gross motor skills, and honing socializing skills. A minimum of 5 students is required.

​

Craft Corner – Rivera (2-4): Dive into the world of crafts with Mrs. Rivera. Children will learn different techniques, and witness firsthand how materials can be transformed into magnificent works of art!

​

Battle Bots – RoboThink (4-6): Learn engineering strategies for building sturdy structures using unique RoboThink bricks, and then apply that knowledge to build multiple robots for a variety of friendly competitions. You'll have a blast as you play robot soccer, compete in robot relay races, and complete dozens of other fun challenges in this fun robotics program. A minimum of 10 students is required.

DISCLAIMER: The Foundation reserves the right to make changes to the schedule, if needed.

By registering, you acknowledge that the named applicant is emotionally ready, is in good health, and has your permission to participate in this program. You agree that there are no refunds after the first week of classes. You also agree to pay the late pick-up fee of $10 for each child picked-up after 4:35 on any enrichment day.

 

TO ORDER: Log onto the NEW MobileArq - Next app. Go to Online Stores and select "FOUNDATION" for the school type. Select the Session and Day for which you would like to register (repeat, if you would like to register for multiple days.) Please note you will need to order for each child separately (like you do for school lunches). For example, go in and select a specific class option for child A. Do not change the quantity. Select the child’s name and then add it to the cart. Then, continue shopping and place the order for child B, or for the next class for child A. Please make sure you specify which child you are ordering for with each class order.

 

CHECKOUT: MobileArq Checkout is done through PayPal. If you do not have a PayPal account, you can click “Pay with Debit or Credit Card” on the login screen and check out using a credit card. Once you have ordered, you will receive an e-mail confirmation. Please review it and make sure it contains everything you intended to order for the enrichment classes.
